Many serious eye diseases do not have early symptoms. Even if you do not wear corrective lenses, a preventative eye exam at least once every two years can help ensure the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision. If you have sudden vision loss, flashes of light, an increase in floaters, or eye pain, please call us immediately.
Are you suffering from dry, irritated eyes? There are new exciting treatments available.
Dry eyes occur when the tear glands do not produce the right quantity or quality of tears. Dry eyes feel uncomfortable and this can be made worse by certain irritants, such as allergies, sinus issues, and glaucoma drops.
There is currently no cure for keratoconjunctivitis sicca, also known as dry eye syndrome, but treatments are available that may help ease the chronic symptoms caused by inflammation.
At Central Florida Eye Care we offer several therapies to relieve dry eye, which include specialized eye drops that offer longer-lasting relief than commonly used lubricants, as well as punctual plugs, Meibomian probing, and for more severe corneal disease, we offer amniotic membrane graft treatment.
